Founded in 2014, Arab Theatre Studio is a community arts organisation based in Granville. As Arab Australian performers, writers, artists and creative producers, their vision is to continue developing Arab-centred critical conversations and creative spaces. Arab Theatre Studio is an active programmer of events and performances in Western Sydney, not only developing theatre work but also encouraging and supporting other disciplines including poetry, visual art and music. Arab Theatre Studio aims to open spaces for Arab Australian artists to network, collaborate and make contemporary work.
City People supported Arab Theatre Studio to develop a strategic plan, including business planning, devising an organisational structure and identifying the studio’s short- and long-term objectives. We also provided mentorship over a sustained period as they implemented the business plan.
